60 minute Makeover (Burbage episode)
Tektura wallcovering featured in the Lounge - is our fabric backed vinyl design "Luxe, colour Amber" It's available 137cm wide, by the running metre.
The Lounge
With a house that accommodates six people and Jane’s parents popping over to visit all the time,
finding space for everyone in the lounge is a nightmare. The Higgins’ are a loving family who
like to cuddle up together on the sofa – but with so little seating, they have to take it
in turns to get close to mum and dad. Bare plaster walls and very little in the way of accessories
makes the room feel cold an uninviting. Derek makes seating a priority, with a five-seater corner
sofa from Nabru and a two-seater ‘Slouch Couch’ from Sit n’ Sleep, both in a tactile stone suede.
The fireplace wall’s covered in a dramatic burgundy and black flower print paper to complement
the gold-leaf effect feature wallpaper opposite (Tektura Luxe). Derek chooses matching lamp tables and coffee table,
accessorising with aubergine and lilac cushions, rugs, throws and a huge silk drum light shade.
The new room’s an inviting family den.
Tring Episode
Tektura wallcovering is featured in the bedroom; fabric backed designer vinyl (designed by Evans & Brown) HARLOW, colour Antler. 137cm wide,
available by the running metre.
Derek really goes to town in here, cramming the room with loads of textures and luxurious fabrics. A printed wallpaper (Tektura Harlow)
is put up on two walls and the inside of the door bedroom door, giving the impression of being padded.
A seriously sensuous shag-pile carpet’s laid and a cream suede bed adds to the sumptuous feel.
Bedside tables in glossy white are dressed with square white lamps. A huge gilt-framed mirror adds
to the 70s Vegas opulence, and the curtains are white curtains ‘Elvis Presley’ punched into
the fabric with brass eyelets".
