ITV's 60 MINUTES MAKEOVER, Longsight, Manchester
Today the 60 Minute Makeover team has come to a 3 bedroom house in Longsight, Manchester. It is home to single mum Marilyn
and her three children. Marilyn's daughter Tsana thinks it's about time that her mum was spoilt as she has done so much
for everyone else - in both her career and home life. Whilst looking after her daughters, Marilyn has been studying for a
degree and working in a home for teenage mothers which this leaves no time to do any DIY around the home. A 60 Minute Makeover
is the perfect graduation present and an opportunity to say a big thank you.
Today's designer is Souki Hildreth who will be taking Marilyn's love of bold colours and ethnic styles and waving her wand to
give this house some much needed makeover magic. Mum's the word!

Muse sample |
The look here has to be sophisticated glamour, Shoa is 14 but going on a lot older! The décor is way to childish and
not very trendy. Souki starts glamming up this room with a new bed from Bell maison and matching wardrobe and bedsides.
This gorgeous girly furniture will add a touch of luxury and most definitely grown with the teenager. Shoa loves bling
so that’s exactly what she gets with gold coloured vinyl flooring and a funky wallcovering from Tektura. A sleek glass
desk jazzes things up and will be perfect for when Shoa starts studying for her GCSEs.
INFORMATION
Tektura's wallcovering MUSE colour 15076 was used in Shoa's bedroom. Muse is available in various colours, and is a

Origami sample |
This room is a vision in lilac and combined with the stark flooring makes this space feel cold and more teenager then adult.
Busy mum Marilyn needs a perfect retreat which is lavish and passionate, far from what it looks like at the moment! Souki
starts by painting a scrumptious chocolate colour over the hideous lilac creating a much warmer and calmer atmosphere. The
old tatty impractical furniture heads straight for the skip and is replaced by chunky wooden pieces from Indigo which are
not only highly luxurious but also creates more storage. The romantic lush theme is continued in the artwork, and with the
beautiful fabric back wallcovering to Tektura. The old carpet which has seen better days is replaced by a thick cream
alternative and a nify lift and store bed from Jay be goes further to solves the storage problem.
INFORMATION
Tektura's Origami 54 Golden Pewter was used in the master bedroom. Origami is available in various colours, and is a highly durable vinyl with fabric backing. Origami is
available by the linear metre, at 137cm wide.
