CASE STUDY : St Mary’s Care Home
Published on , in Case Studies.
Pursuing a luxurious yet homely feel, Hiedi Lazenby, specialist in care interiors, has designed the 26-bed, new-build extension at St Mary’s Care Home in Hull. The scheme includes an open-plan reception with café lounge, dining area, bedrooms and corridors.
Fireplaces have been turned into feature areas: The image below shows our Illusion blue damask wallcovering, chosen to complement the upholstery and the room's colour scheme.
Corridor focal points incorporate console tables with wallcoverings as the backdrop. Images below show how our Fiore, Dimensions and deco-style Marquetry wallcoverings have been used in three areas.
Damask effects are a running theme in this project for feature fireplaces, the reception and lounge. Hiedi selected Dynasty wallcovering, a subtle two-tone damask brocade and in her words "to add elegance and a touch of glam".
St. Mary’s dining area has plenty of natural light, colourful upholstery and modern light fixtures. Round mirrors and framed illustrations have been used to decorate the walls, which feature our Tundra wallcovering.
